1.How does a diesel fuel injector work?

Our best cummins injectors converts the low-pressure fuel supplied by the PT fuel pump into high-pressure (70-138MPa) fuel and injects it into the combustion chamber. The N series injectors includes 3 types: basic type, top limit type and STC type.The basic type is the PTD cylindrical injector (see left of below pic), and the plunger stroke needs to be adjusted in the engine. The plunger stroke of the top limit type (see middle of below pic) and the STC type injector (see right of below pic) are adjusted on the injector. STC type fuel injector adopts "fuel injection advance timing mode" under starting and light load conditions (it means fuel is injected earlier in the compression cycle). which improved the idle speed characteristics and engine white smoke in cold weather, also fuel economy in light-load conditions be improved.
