The engine controller adapter harness is used with the handheld engine controller, Part Number 3163890, to start the engine and control engine speed. The engine controller replaces the keyswitch, throttle pedal, and driver interface panel, and can be used on an engine in chassis as a troubleshooting tool or on the dynamometer stand. The engine controller has a datalink provision to connect an electronic service tool to monitor engine operation and fault codes. For the 2007 ISM, this tool must be used in conjunction with adapter harness, Part Number 3164653.
